Taking care of our equipment is a top priority. We focus on preventive maintenance to keep production moving forward as most of the equipment is only a few years old. A mechanic is expected to maintain, diagnose and repair the equipment with little to no supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
This position will be based in the Eureka, CA area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services and minor and major repairs.
- Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
- Use of powers tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, jacks and hoists.
- Inspect, test and diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts and pressure gauges.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager
Requirements:
- Vocational/Technical school certification is required
- 5+ years practical experience required
- Must be willing to travel where the work is needed between Oregon, Washington and California.
- Willingness to work required schedule (50-55 hours a week) which includes weekends and late nights as needed.
- Must have experience and training with diesel motors including hydraulics, electronics and air conditioning.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Compensation
- $35-42 per hour depending on experience and training
