Jeff Walters

Jeff has over 35 years working at ski resorts. His love for skiing led him to that line of work. Jeff also enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and fishing, and he’s a carpenter who has built two of his own homes.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort – California 1978 – 2010
Fresh out of college with a BA degree Jeff worked in many capacities including grooming, trail crew, Ski Patrol, above ground and avalanche blasting, over-the-snow logging and heavy equipment operations. His last 10 years at Kirkwood Jeff was the Vice President Mountain Operations

Las Lenas Ski Resort – Argentina 2008 – 2010
Mountain Operations Consultant
After leaving Kirkwood Jeff was hired by Las Lenas as a consultant for the owner of the resort.

Sun Valley Resort – Idaho 2017 – 2022
Initially hired as the Grooming and Trail Crew Manager Jeff was promoted to the Assistant Mountain Manager position overseeing all trail work on internationally known Bald Mountain. This work included collaborating with Miller Timber who Jeff found had the equipment and experience to work on the resort’s numerous forest health projects.
